CSI Adds Lauren Lee Smith To The Cast

Since CSI has recently lost two of it’s main characters, the people who are in charge must have decided they needed to throw someone new into the mix. I quit watching about a year ago when there were too many versions of CSI to keep it all straight anymore. I do have to say that the original would still be my favorite, and though I didn’t really mind them losing the always stiff Jorja Fox, the loss of Gary Dourdan would have sent me packing if I was still around.
So what if the guy just got arrested for drug possession. Who in Hollywood hasn’t been arrested for something – not to mention who hasn’t used drugs and just not gotten caught? Do I care that technically it was over money, and not the arrest? No. Either way, I say CSI is “jumping the shark” by bringing someone new in. Or maybe they jumped it when they brought in CSI: Upper Peninsula Michigan. Wait a minute, that was just a dream I had. The new chick is Lauren Lee Smith, sometimes guest star of The L Word. She wont’ be playing a lesbian on this one, though. According to Yahoo News, “Smith will play Bryce Adams, described as a "smart, flirtatious and witty nonconformist" obsessed with the underbelly of society, who got into police work to rebel against her disapproving psychiatrist father. She joins Gil Grissom's crack squad working the night shift.” Great. Another "smart, flirtatious and witty nonconformist” – oh wait, I think that’s probably how I would describe myself…maybe I will start watching again! RELATED: lauren lee smith, CBS, csi
