Camelot To Premiere In April On Starz

Finally answering the question what happened to Claire Forlani?, Starz has set a premiere date for its new, highly-anticipated spin on King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Camelot, a co-production between Octagon and Take 5, stars Forlani as Queen Ingraine, Joseph Fiennes as Merlin, Jamie Campbell Bower as King Arthur and Tamsin Egerton as Guinevere.

According to Deadline, the show will premiere on April 1st, 2011, occupying the Spartacus: Blood & Sand time slot on Friday evenings at 10 PM. The start of the weekend is normally considered a death sentence on network television (See Fringe), but with premiere network subscribers almost always having access to OnDemand services, as well as numerous repeat airings, a program's timeslot is a little less important.

Little is known at this point about the quality or overall plot, but with the premiere date little more than four months away, teasers should start becoming available within a few weeks. Stay tuned.
