Chuck May Not See Third Season, But Gets A Proper Finale

Chuck may not be back for a third season. Gasp! Shock! Awe! One of the most entertaining shows on television is, like almost everything else in our world, on the brink of early termination. Although nothing is clear yet creator Josh Schwartz plans to make the season 2 finale a true finale.

Schwartz told Sci-Fi Wire that the upcoming season finale will be a ”game changer.” This is the end that they’ve been planning since the very beginning, which leads me to wonder what the heck they’ll do if Chuck does get picked up again. The show would have switch gears, or pull a Buffy season 6 and try to “fix” the terminal end that airs.

We’ve already seen Chuck almost getting free of being the intersect, so I’m going to imagine the finale will finally have Sarah and Chuck hook up for real. I hope the show continues on, but if we can get a little closure due to the foresight of Schwartz I’ll live with it. At least we won’t have to send peanuts to NBC in order to get a sub-par next season.
