With Chuck having just ended its run this season, star Zachary Levi has been one seriously sought-after man, and Fox has landed him for a comedy pilot. With several offers on the table for his services, Levi has signed on for Let it Go as the leading man, which lifts the cast contingency on the pilot and means it will go ahead into production.
After five season on Chuck, Levi will return to comedy, which is where he climbed to stardom. The role that got him noticed was Less Than Perfect over at ABC. Today he has been booked to play a co-starring role, according to Deadline, on the new Fox project. The plot details are unclear at this point, but it’s about a married couple, one half of which to be played by Levi, his best friend and her sister who are trying to make their way through “society’s unspoken rules” and bending them as needed. We can expect more casting news to follow soon as the project moves forward now that the contingency is gone. The ending of Chuck this season left plenty of fans sorry to see the series go; the quirky show won a dedicated audience over its five seasons on the air, working successfully with a premise that initially sounded pretty ridiculous. Some fans of the show had a little trouble letting go. But Zachary Levi seems to be quite ready to move on, and if things go well with the pilot fans can look forward to seeing him on their TV screens in the not-so-distant future. Back to top
