Clooney Comes Back To ER!

I’ve been begging for ER to just die already, and I was not happy when they decided to add three extra episodes to the season. But, I just may tune in for the rest of the season because they somehow convinced Mr. George Clooney to come back as Dr. Doug Ross for just one more episode.

According to Radar Online, “in one scene, Dr. Doug Ross will be shown practicing at his new hospital in Seattle, while another scene will have him reuniting with the staff at County General in Chicago. Our source also reveals that the Seattle hospital set has been built, and is high tech and very ‘cool looking’.” That wouldn’t be Seattle Grace would it? Nah, I bet it’s the hospital they're always hating on – the one they stole Erika Hahn from. Good call on that one Seattle Grace…

Anyway, I’m still reeling from shock. Quite frankly ER is not the fabulous drama it once was. Yeah, that was like 10 years ago – back when Dr. Ross was the star of the show. But if he’s coming back, I’d be willing to watch just to see it.

I wonder if they took a page out Ellen DeGeneres’ playbook – bribing Clooney with retired Cincinnati Reds players. If you missed that episode of Ellen, you missed out. Clooney actually seemed a little star struck sitting next to Johnny Bench and Joe Morgan. It was very cool.

Well, whatever NBC did to pull this off, it was a good call. Tons of people who gave up on the show a while ago will be back for sure now.
