Coke Zero Puts A Twist On Mean Joe Greene Ad For Super BowlAuthor: Kelly West

During tomorrow’s Super Bowl event on NBC, we’ll get to see the new Coke Zero ad entitled “Mean Troy,” which is a take on the classic Coca-Cola ad that aired in 1980 featuring Mean Joe Greene. From what we’re hearing, the new version, which features Pittsburgh Steelers’ Troy Polamalu has a surprise ending. We’ve got the videos of the original ad as well as a look at the new version.
Having only been a couple years old when the original spot aired, I had to You Tube the ad to see what they were referring to with this remake. It premiered during the Super Bowl in 1980 and it's pretty charming.
