The Family Guy panel kicked off late, but all the lead actors are here along with the show runners whose names you don’t care about. As was the case last year, Seth MacFarlane and Seth Green along with producer David Goodman are pretty damn funny.
Family Guy panel last year was awesome. This year, they decided to have fewer behind the scenes guys (writers and producers) and more with all the leads (Seth McFarland, Seth Green, Mila Kunis, and Alex Borstein. But all you really need to know is this. When asked about upcoming episodes, the following nuggets came out.
Brian gets drunk, hits a dog with his car and the dog dies. He confesses but finds out no one cares if a dog is killed.
Lois hires Superman’s maid, Consuela.
Peter has an affair with a cardboard cut out of Kathy Ireleand.
Meg goes to jail and comes back “tougher” and “more raped” than usual.
Chris introduces the evil monkey to the family.
Lois boxes.
There is an hour long “Clue” type episode in the next year.
They also noted that an abortion episode was made but will not be aired except on DVD.
The panel included 10 minutes of “Something, Something, Something Darkside” or the Empire Strikes Back spoof. It starts with the line “a long time ago, when gays weren’t so in your face about it” and includes a crawl that rips Fox pretty good. It’s funny, naturally and the part shown is the ice planet battle. It’s very much in line with the Blue Harvest episode.
Goodman also noted that they are working on the Jedi episode that was originally going to be called “The Great Muppet Caper” but they thought it would be too confusing, so it will be called “We Have a Bad Feeling About This.”
The panel ends with some lame questions. People are idiots.
We aren’t there to watch you do funny voices. Just ask your question and sit down!
