Community Preview: Basic Genealogy

This week’s episode of Community will feature an appearance by former American Idol contestant Katherine McPhee. For fans of Community and those who still suffer from McPheever, we have an episode description and some video clips.

Based on NBC’s episode description (below), it appears that McPhee will be playing the stepdaughter of Chevy Chase’s character Pierce. Jeff will attempt to help Pierce connect with her while she’s visiting Greendale Community College for Family Day.

““Basic Genealogy” - THE GANG’S FAMILIES INVADE GREENDALE -- KATHARINE MCPHEE (House Bunny) GUEST STARS—It’s Family Day at Greendale Community College and the gang’s families come to campus to join in the fun. Meanwhile, Jeff (Joel McHale) agrees to help Pierce (Chevy Chase) connect with his stepdaughter Amber (guest star Katharine McPhee). Things take an interesting twist when Amber shows an interest in Jeff. Ken Jeong, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown and Donald Glover also star.”

Community airs Thursday nights at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC.
