ER Adds A New Member For The Final Season

I graduated from high school thirteen years ago. I haven’t watched ER since I left my parent’s home way back when, and it boggles my mind that it is still on the air. I used to like it, I really did, but with social activities and classes, I just didn’t have time for TV. By the time I was out of college, all of the characters had changed, and it wasn’t worth it to catch up on what I’d missed.

So, the news that next season will be the finale for the long running series wasn’t exactly surprising. I thought it ran out of interesting stories about five years ago. However, I saw some interesting news this morning that might make me tune in for this last hurrah.

Hollywood Reporter broke the news this morning that the big-wigs have gotten a gem to make the last season a little more memorable. It seems that Angela Bassett has signed on to be “ a tough attending with a troubled past who's coming back to Chicago after a few years in Indonesia doing tsunami relief. Her arrival in the second episode next season promises to shake County General's ER to the core.”

I like Angela Bassett. She is an amazing actress, and could bring new life to the long overdue end of this never-ending show. So, maybe I’ll watch this season. Anyone know any good summaries out there?
