Evangeline Lilly Threatens To Quit Lost?

Evangeline Lilly, star of the hit ABC show ‘Lost’ has made comments in the past regarding the popularity of show and the inconvenience of being famous. A news site in the UK recently reported that Lilly was “threatening” to quit the show if her fans don’t back off. Though Lilly did say she wouldn’t mind spending some time somewhere remote where they don’t have the show ‘Lost,’ nothing else that the site quoted indicates that Lilly is planning on leaving the show.
UK’s Life Style Extra reported that the actress was growing weary of her fame. The site quoted Lilly as saying, "I am an incredibly private person, and it's so exhausting to me that everywhere I go people know me or think they know me. If I could act and make the income I make and be anonymous, I would never want to leave the job." While it is evident that she misses the privacy she had prior to ‘Lost,’ it seems like a bit of a stretch to interpret her comment as some kind of threat or even a hint that’s going to quit ‘Lost’ if her fans don’t leave her alone. LSE did say, she “admits she sometimes considers walking away from her role” though the direct quote of Lilly saying this wasn’t cited. Lilly plays the lead female character, Kate in ‘Lost.’ Though there are other female supporting characters in the show, this season has spent more time focusing on her character than any other female in the show. The writers have been known to kill off certain characters with very little build-up but there has been no indication that Lilly’s character will be written off anytime soon. Life Style Extra cited BANG Showbiz, a UK news agency, as the source of the story. New episodes of ‘Lost’ will air on ABC starting February 7th.
