Expanded New Moon Trailer To Air During VMAs

MTV unveiled the very first New Moon trailer at the MTV Movie Awards this year. At this year’s VMA’s fans of the Twilight Saga will not only get an extended trailer for the movie, which premieres in November but also a preview of the soundtrack’s lead single.

MTV announced today that an expanded New Moon trailer will air during the broadcast of the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, which is set to air on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 9:00 p.m. What’s more, in addition to the trailer and appearances by New Moon stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Steward and Taylor Lautner, MTV.com is going to exclusively unveil VMA nominees Death Cab for Cutie’s “Meet Me on the Equinox,” the lead single off of the New Moon soundtrack (coming out October 20, 2009).
