First Look At Timothy Olyphant On The League, Plus New Season 4 Footage

FX has built a fantastic lineup of comedic and dramatic series, from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia to Sons of Anarchy, and it only makes sense for the network to use the talented actors already on the payroll when it comes to booking guest stars. And no, Charlie Day isn't headed to Charming, although that would be amazing. Instead, two of FX’s other programs on the cable channel are mixing it up with Justified’s resident cowboy making an appearance on The League.

Timothy Olyphant has been playing the serious U.S. Marshal Rayland Givens on FX's award winning series for three seasons. On October 25, be prepared to see a lighter side of the actor when he guest stars on the fantasy football-based comedy. Olyphant was pretty funny in The Girl Next Door (also Scream 2) and this first photo of him in character as an aggressive looking sushi chef, courtesy of EW, already made me chuckle. According to Olyphant, ''These guys are uncomfortable getting raw fish from a white dude and comedy ensues.''

There's nothing like an incredibly long and sharp knife to induce laughter! Especially when that knife is being held by the famously intense Olyphant and/or is being pointed at Kevin. FX has also uploaded a few more green screen promos with real stars, the latest features QB RG3 (Robert Griffin III) stuck with PK Ruxin while Taco reluctantly provides the beats (Corndog!). But the real treat, besides sushi chef Olyphant, is the new "Hard Knocks" spot that finally shows off some new footage of Season 4. It looks like we're in store for quite a year, from an unusually big draft day--complete with NFL stars--to a new MacArthur baby coming into this world. I wonder if this kid will also be a dick?

Season 4 of The League premieres with "Training Camp," on Thursday, October 11 at 10:30 p.m. ET on FX. Created by Jeff Schaffer and Jackie Marcus Schaffer, the series stars Mark Duplass, Steve Rannazzisi, Nick Kroll, Paul Scheer, Jon Lajoie and Katie Aselton.
