Game Of Thrones Season 2 Poster: A Golden Crown

We officially only have one month to go before the new season of Game of Thrones premieres on HBO. Another new poster has made its way online. This one follows along the “War is Coming” theme, only this bit of art gives us a bit more to look at than the previously released Season 2 poster.

The last time we saw a “War is Coming” poster, the words were front and center. In the poster below, in addition to the words, there’s a fist clutching a crown.



Sort of a thorny thing going on with that crown, which, in both a literal and metaphorical sense might mean it’s not that comfortable to hold (or rather, clutch as that hand seems to be doing), despite the fact that so many characters seem to want it. But who will get it?

And on aside, does anyone else now have horrifying associations with golden crowns thanks to the first book/Season 1?
