Gene Simmons was a straight up trip on Celebrity Apprentice. He says everything with a completely straight face, and he is usually being completely transparent. When he told the Kodak people they were dead wrong on their marketing campaign, I almost fell off the couch laughing. And he wasn't kidding! He's the kind of guy that you know he has probably been there done that in every category (you know, the guy who's slept with everyone, done every drug, etc), but you don't dislike him, because you just can't.
The people who matter at CBS liked him too. Gene has been chosen to “preside over a hunt for the best ad jingle for 'anything and everything,' according to the network's press release. Each week, contestants will be asked to write and perform their own catchy little tunes touting toys, food, beauty products, sports teams, etc.”
Seems fitting, since he is the self proclaimed king of advertising. Yahoo News has details on the other judges (like they'll ever get to talk). I think they should have gotten Donny Deutsch on board. I love that guy, and I think he could compete with Gene as far as opinions go. But CNBC already has him, I guess he's probably in a contract or something.
