Gervais Says No More Extras

By Mack Rawden: 2007-03-20 23:16:48
Gervais Says No More Extras ‘Extras’ is brilliant, flat out brilliant. The comedic timing of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant is impeccable, and the rest of the cast shines with every subtle joke. The guest stars are perfect and willing to poke fun at themselves. And well, I just have a man crush on the entire show. So, today’s news came as quite a shock to me.

Variety.com is reporting that Merchant and Gervais have decided to pass on the possibility of a third season. They will instead get together, at some point, and pen a finale episode like they did for ‘The Office.’ There’s no word yet on which characters or guest stars will be back for the one episode send off.

Why does every show I like go off the air? ‘Are You Afraid of the Dark?’, ‘Full House’, ‘Boston Public’, and now ‘Extras.’ My fragile psyche can’t take too many more of these devastating blows.
