Glee Casts Molly Shannon To Go Up Against Sue Sylvester

We’e seen what Sue Sylvester’s like when she goes up against rival Will Schuester but how will she handle going toe to toe with another woman? It seems we’re about to find out as Molly Shannon has been cast to play Sue’s new rival.

Entertainment Weekly posted the news, stating that Shannon will join Glee in a recurring role starting this May. She’ll be playing Brenda Castle, an alcoholic, pill-popping astronomy teacher and badminton coach.

Molly Shannon’s appeared in films but she’s probably most commonly known for time as a castmember on Saturday Night Live and more specifically, her portrayal of the spastic Mary Catherine Gallagher in the sketch-comedy series. I can easily see her going up against Sue Sylvester in Glee.
