Gotham comes from Bruno Heller (The Mentalist) and stars Ben McKenzie as James Gordon, a rookie detective who's determined to clean up the streets of Gotham City. The story is set in the pre-Batman era of Gotham, when Bruce Wayne is just a boy who has recently lost his parents. In addition to McKenzie, the cast includes Donal Logue, who plays Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz, who plays the young Bruce Wayne, and Jada Pinkett Smith, who's on board to play the villainous gang boss Fish Mooney. Also among the cast are Erin Richards, Robin Lord Taylor, Zabryna Guevara, Sean Pertwee and Camren Bicondova, the latter of whom will play a teenaged Selina Kyle, the future Catwoman.
Fox has Gotham set up to air on Monday night, beginning this fall. The network released a detailed synopsis and photos for the series, which you can check out here. And if you haven't seen it yet and want to get a preview of the first episode, you can watch the trailer for Gotham here.
