TV remakes have been hit or miss lately. While Battlestar Galactica had an excellent run, on Sci Fi, shows like Knightrider and The Bionic Woman didn’t do so well the second time around. How will viewers receive a remake of the classic 70’s series Hawaii Five-0? We may find out.

According to Fusedfilm.com’s sources, a pilot is being scripted for a remake of Hawaii Five-0. Their information states that Peter M. Lenkov, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman are working together to recreate a muscled-up version of the cop-drama set in Hawaii.

While Lenkov’s credits include exec-producing CSI: NY and writing the film Demolition Man, Orci and Kurtzman both have writing credits for Alias and Fringe, along with some big-screen projects, including Eagle Eye (Kurtzman) and Transformers (Orci). Whether or not this rumor is true (and whether or not the series actually ends up getting re-made), there’s definitely some talent among the writers of this possible-pilot.
