This new Terminator translation to TV keeps getting more exciting. Lena Headey, who will star as Sarah Connor--the woman with a perpetual bulls-eye on her back thanks to those killing machines from the future— had a bunch of cool things to say in an interview at WonderCon in San Francisco on March 3 about the upcoming sci-fi pilot set to premier on Fox.
From SciFi.com"We just finished [shooting]. We were in Albuquerque [N.M.] for a month. And it was very intense, because TV is crazy. I mean, it's long days. It's like boom, boom, boom. You don't get any respite. But ... I think it's going to be great. I don't know if its going to be picked up, because it's only in pilot stage right now. But I learned to shoot many weapons and how to recognize a Terminator. So it was a good experience." Headey also revealed that the pilot will begin with a confrontation between Sarah, her son John, and two terminators, one male and one female. Serenity’s Summer Glau will play the female terminator while Owain Yeoman will play the male. Just like in T2 and T3,one terminator will be good and the other bad. Considering Glau’s terminator is named “Cameron” after Terminator helmer James Cameron, I’d bet on her being the good one. The overall story arc will feature mother and son on the run, hiding, and escaping danger. Adds Headey, "Trying to carve out a normal life for themselves, but always being watched and trying to locate Skynet, trying to stop [it]. But there are many, many issues in their way." No word yet on when the pilot for ‘The Sarah Connor Chronicles’ will air, but considering they just finished shooting it, it should be out in the next few months. For now, some kind soul has uploaded all of Terminator 2: Judgment Day to YouTube. Here’s Part I, but don’t expect it to stay up too long: |
