How The Grinch Stole Christmas Preview

There are some things that never go out of style and when it comes to TV holiday specials, Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas is definitely one of them. Tomorrow night ABC will be airing the 30-minute Christmas classic that teaches the age-old lesson of what really matters when it comes to the holidays.

Sure, you can show up in Whoville and steal the presents, trees and decorations but when the holiday spirit is truly alive, it can’t be stolen… not even by a furry, green Grinch with a chip on his shoulder and a heart two sizes too small.

“Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas," the 1966 animated holiday story loved by all tall and small, airs MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network (OAD on ABC: 12/12/06).

Based on the classic children's book by the legendary Dr. Seuss, Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas takes viewers inside a snowflake to Whoville, the magical land of the Whos. But high above this holiday-loving town resides the Grinch, a hateful creature with a heart three sizes too small, who despises Christmas and plots to steal it from the Whos.

Will a greedy Mayor Augustus Maywho or the seductive Martha May Whovier ruin his plans? Or will the loving little Cindy Lou Who be able to teach The Grinch the true meaning of Christmas?

The voice cast includes Boris Karloff as The Grinch/Narrator and June Foray as Cindy Lou Who.”

And if you miss tomorrow night’s broadcast, ABC will be re-airing How the Grinch Stole Christmas on Tuesday, December 23rd (8:00 p.m. ET). The hour-long special will include the Dr. Seuss classic as well as additional footage from a “making of” documentary. It’ll feature interviews with Theodore “Dr. Seuss” Geisel and Chuck Jones along with some of the original voice artists, animators and musicians who contributed to this holiday classic.
