Today, the news isn’t all bad. “Invasion”, a show that somehow made a hurricane seem boring has been cancelled and they have no one but themselves to blame.

My dislike of this show isn’t based on it sucking. It’s based primarily on one of the most inept pilot episodes ever. C’mon, it’s a hurricane! Make it exciting! After “Lost” raised the bar on how to debut a show, you would think the creators of “Invasion” would have taken some notes. Instead they made a drab, boring pilot that made we want to turn it off forever.

Recently, I gave it another shot and the show has improved remarkably but not enough for ABC to give it another year. To put a knife in the back of Sci-fi fans, any talk of the CW Network picking “Invasion” up has seemingly died.

What will replace “Invasion” in the fall? Apparently Harrison Ford likes his women working since Calista Flockhart will return to network television to star in the drama “Brothers and Sisters.” On second thought, I think I want Invasion back.
