While there are surely some people out there still chanting “Circle! Circle!” after last night’s episode of The Tonight Show, which featured Conan O’Brien on his first night as host of the show, I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who miss Jay and want to know when his show is starting. NBC posted the official premiere date today.
When Leno signed off on his last night as host of The Tonight Show, he said, “Thank you for watching. Please give Conan (O’Brien) as much support as you've given me throughout the years. Good night. We'll see you in September.” Set your calendars for September 14, 2009 because that’s when The Jay Leno Show is set to premiere. After that, Leno’s show will air Monday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. 11:00 p.m. ET on NBC. It should be interesting to see how the series does in a 10 PM timeslot. I’m sure by September there will be plenty of Leno fans out there eager to see what the comedian is going to be doing with this new not-quite-late-night series. In the meantime, if you’re planning to stick with The Tonight Show, Check out the listings for his celebrity and musical guests for the first couple of weeks of June here. |
