According to the Hollywood Reporter, Simpson, who reclaimed fame when she starred in MTV’s Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica is returning to reality TV to host The Price of Beauty. In the series, Simpson will travel around, looking at local fashions, dietary fads and beauty regimens. She’ll take a hands-on approach to some of the practices she comes across and talk with every day women as well as “local pop culture icons.”

Of the premise of the show, Simpson said, "I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect.”

The series is set to begin shooting next month and is exec produced by Jessica Simpson, her father Joe and Chris Coelen, Claire O'Donohoe and Greg Goldman, Jeff olde, Jill Holmes, Alex Demyanenko and Sean Boyle.
