It was a Merry Christmas (episode) for Saturday Night Live this weekend. The episode, which saw the return of Jimmy Fallon and number of other SNL vets, as well as an appearance by Jude Law, and performances by musical guest Michael Buble. It also saw its best best ratings this season.

Deadline posted the numbers for the episode, stating that the series averaged a season-high 5.3 rating/13 share in metered-market households. A strong showing isnít all that surprising, given how beloved the Christmas-themed episodes are, not to mention Fallonís popularity. The late night talk show host wasnít the only former SNL cast member to return to the series for some holiday cheer. Appearances by Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Rachel Dratch, Horatio Sanz, Tracy Morgan and Chris Kattan were also made.

The funniest episode since Melissa McCarthy hosted earlier this season, there were a number of laugh-worthy sketches featured, one of which is below (and the others you can find here)
