Dexter has another familiar face set up to appear in it sixth season. Word is, My Boys star Jordana Spiro has been signed on to appear in multiple episodes of the Showtime drama. Is she a good guy or a bad guy? Find out ahead!
TV Line posted the news, stating that Spiro will appear in multiple episodes, playing “an acolyte of Colin Hanks’ Travis and Edward James Olmos’ Professor Gellar.” For those of us eating up every spoiler morsel thrown out there for Dexter‘s sixth season, it’s not news that the new season will have a religious theme and that Olmos and Hanks’ characters will be involved in that (presumably in a villainous way). The description for Spiro’s character suggests that she’s devoted to following Travis and Professor Geller. As I sort of pictured Travis being the follower of Gellar, this news either shifts that dynamic a bit, or else, suggests that some kind of hierarchy will eventually fall into place, with Hanks’ character being mentored by Olmos’ character and Spiro coming in later as a follower of both, or a fan of Gellar and then Travis by association. All we can do is speculate for now. Dexter returns to Showtime on October 2nd and Spiro won’t make her first appearance until later in the sixth season. I never watched My Boys and haven't seen her in Harry's Law, however from her photo, Spiro has such an innocent looking face. I could say the same for Colin Hanks. Picturing either of them as the murderous type gives me a creepy feeling, which, in the case of Dexter, is definitely a good thing. |
