Lewis Black has been a busy guy since mid-2006. He’s been in multiple movies, toured, written one book, is writing another and now has a new TV show. Lewis Black’s The Root of All Evil premieres on March 12th on Comedy Central at 10:30pm.

The premise behind the show is that Black is putting pop culture on trial with the help of other comedians. There are six major portions to the show – the “Opening Statements,” "Debate," "Inquisition," "Ripple of Evil," "Closing Statements," and "Final Verdict." Four comedians are featured as advocates on the show, and two will appear on each episode with one representing each side.

According to Comedy Central’s website, the four advocates are Andrew Daly, Greg Giraldo, Kathy Madigan and Andy Kindler and all have their own fancy credentials. Visit Comedy Central’s website for more about them, and the show: click here.

The first episode is entitled, "Oprah vs. The Catholic Church. Following that is "Donald Trump vs. Viagra" Premieres Wednesday, March 19 At 10:30 P.M. The next few episodes include: Paris Hilton vs. Dick Cheney; Beer vs. Weed; YouTube vs. Porn; Kim Jong Il vs. Tila Tequila; "American Idol" vs. High School; and Las Vegas vs. The Human Body.
