Rooting for MTV to have a big ratings night would be like rooting for Tomagotchiís to come back. No one in his or her right mind would ever recommend either, especially teachers. That being said, Sunday was indeed a big day for MTV, with the season finale of Americaís Best Dance Crew, The MTV Movie Awards, and Teen Wolf all billed on one night.

We could go ahead and mostly hand this to Jason Sudeikis, whose hosting gig at the MTV Movie Awards pulled in ample viewers. According to THR, the program averaged 4.5 million viewers during its 2 hours of programming. Thatís less than any network program not in danger of cancellation, but more than Discovery Channelís Gold Rush: Alaska.

While I would like to hand MTVís Sunday night success fully over to my favorite SNL regular, Teen Wolf and Americaís Best Dance Crew pulled in a modest share of viewers. However, this was due in part to Sunday being the premiere of Teen Wolf and the finale of this season of Americaís Best Dance Crew. When LaMmE was named best crew, 2.6 million people watched the program. A little over 2 million tuned in for Teen Wolf at 11 p.m. following the awards. The latter show would have been done better, but it aired way past half of the audienceís bedtimes.
