It appears that Friends star Matthew Perry is getting back into television. Word is, Perry is working on an untitled single-camera comedy, which is being pitched to networks this week.

According to the Hollywood Reporter Perry is set to star in, co-write and exec-produce a yet-to-be-titled single camera comedy about a guy who manages a sports arena and begins to take stock in his life on his 40th birthday. Following his role in Friends, Perry went on to play a role in The West Wing and later to star in Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. More recently he was seen on the big screen in 17 Again.

The Reporter noted that Perry is the third Friends star set to work on a single-camera comedy on TV. Courteney Cox is currently starring in ABC’s Cougar Town and Matt LeBlanc has been signed on to star in the Showtime/BBC series Episodes. We’ll have to wait and see whether or not Perry’s comedy project manages to get off the ground.
