Matthew McConaughey is taking a break from pushing all natural lifestyles by pushing bizarre, hedonistic lifestyles instead. McConaughey's production company J.K. Livin' productions has hooked up with Fox to produce a TV show based on his quirk-famed brother, known to the world by his nickname "Rooster".
The comedy series will jump on the quickly growing prime-time animated series band wagon. "My brother's life is so unbelievable, we had to animate it," was McConaughey's explanation. Tentatively titled Rooster Tales, the series will roughly mirror Mike "Rooster" McConaughey's real life. According to Variety, the show will begin by marrying off a young Mexican lady to the "beer-swilling, redneck sheriff", who quickly realized he's inherited a small village-worth of relatives. The series sounds like something that will fit in Fox's lineup nicely, sandwiched in between The Simpsons and Family Guy on the network's animated prime-time Sundays. |
