Mike O'Malley And Liza Snyder To Guest Star On Raising Hope

A while back, prolific TV creator Greg Garcia co-created a series called Yes, Dear with Alan Kirschenbaum. That series was a hit for six seasons, leaving many fans with fond memories of the show’s two lead couples, one of which was played by Mike O’Malley and Liza Snyder. Now, the famous twosome will play a couple once more on an upcoming episode of Garcia’s current comedy, Raising Hope.

While they won’t be reliving their exact old characters in a new TV universe (which would be some crazy TV time travel), O’Malley and Snyder will play an onscreen couple. According to EW, during their guest episode, the couple will happen upon a sex tape from years past, made by none other than Raising Hope’s golden couple, Burt and Virginia.

Raising Hope is always good for a few random guest appearances each season. In Season 3, we’ve already seen American Pie’s Chris Klein and Sons of Anarchy’s Christopher Douglas Reed pop up in special guest starring roles. Raising Hope returns after the holiday hiatus next week, and Back to the Future’s Christopher Lloyd will be along for the ride. At this point, there’s no way to know exactly how well Garcia’s former couple will mesh with his new couple, but based on Raising Hope’s track record of using people properly, there’s reason to hope the episode will meet viewer’s expectations.

Raising Hope will air new episodes on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 8 p.m. ET.
