NBC Orders Two More Episodes Of Up All Night

As though its move to Thursday nights next winter/spring wasn’t good news enough for NBC’s comedy Up All Night, now it looks like the network has decided to extend the series’ first season by two episodes.

Up All Night got a raw deal on Wednesday nights. Had things worked out better for Free Agents, maybe there would have been a bigger draw for the hour-long comedy block on NBC, however with Free Agents cut loose, that left the Will Arnett/Christina Applegate comedy to fend for itself against the competition brought by the other networks. The series has done ok and hopefully it’ll do even better once it begins airing on Thursday nights next January.

?According to Deadline, NBC has given Up All Night two additional episodes, tacked on to the previously ordered Back 9. This brings the series’ first season order from twenty-two to twenty-four. It’s a mark of NBC’s faith in the series that they’re giving it even more episodes. Hopefully the move to the post-Office time-slot on Thursday nights will give the comedy the ratings it deserves.
