NBC Sets Premiere Date For New Game Show It's Worth What?
When I first heard of NBCís new game show Itís Worth What?, I thought it was a Price is Right clone, (ďremakeĒ), however as it turns out, this new series focuses more on the worth of things as opposed to the retail value. Thatís certainly a notable difference, and while I donít think thatíll make this game-show any easier for me to play along from my living room than The Price is Right was, it does sound intriguing.
Hereís NBCís description for the series.
Itís Worth What? is a game show that taps into Americaís curiosity for cost and value, from the hidden gems found in one's attic to some of the most exotic valuables from around the globe. A pair of contestants are taken through a series of challenges that escalate in level of difficulty, tasking the contestants with discerning the price of the items in each round. If they successfully complete the challenges, contestants can win up to $1 million.
By that, Iím guessing that instead of trying to guess the combined total retail value of a ride-on lawnmower, a Jacuzzi and an outdoor grill, the contestants might be challenged to guess the value of something that may be an antique or just an old piece of junk. As to the format and the specifics on how the game will work, NBCís not offering up much yet, however there is a premiere date.
On board to host is comedian Cedric ďThe EntertainerĒ of The Steve Harvey Show and The Original Kings of Comedy and NBC announced today that the series will premiere on July 12th.
