NBC Universal To Air Exclusive Watchmen Clips This Week

This is the opening sentence where I say something witty about the upcoming Watchmen movie. One tiny problem, I’ve never read the graphic novel. I have nothing witty to say, so you’re stuck with this lamezor opening. In better news, NBC is offering six previews of the upcoming film starting Sunday night.

Each set of clips will feature one of the Watchmen. From what I can tell each are a clear archetype for popular super heroes, and only one of them has any real powers. I don’t really care. I’ve taken the day off from work on Friday to line up and watch the first movie I’m truly excited about for 2009, and while some fans want to go in clean I’ll be all about watching these clips.

Below is a preview for the Watchmen Event, which will be airing exclusively on NBC, Sci Fi, and USA Network. But first a list of when to watch for Watchmen clips.

• Sunday, March 1 – Dr. Manhattan during National Treasure on NBC


• Monday, March 2 – Rorschach during Heroes on NBC


• Wednesday, March 4 – Ozymandias during Ghost Hunters International on Sci Fi


• Thursday, March 5 – Nite Owl during Battlestar Galactica on Sci Fi


• Thursday, March 5 – Silk Spectre during Burn Notice on USA


• Thursday, March 5 – The Comedian during 30 Rock on NBC
