NCIS' Sarah Jane Morris Joins A&E Pilot Occult
When we first learned that Michael Bay and X-Files writer James Wong were teaming up for an A&E pilot called Occult, part of the plot noted that the lead character would be returning to work at the FBI after taking time off following some kind of meltdown while investigating his wife's disappearance. Since then, we learned that Josh Lucas would play the role of the FBI agent. And today comes word that Sarah Jane Morris has signed on to play the role of the wife who disappeared.
TVLine posted the news, stating that Morris has signed on to play Rebekah, the wife of lead character FBI Agent Dolan (Josh Lucas). The only thing we know about the character at this point is that she disappeared and her husband went off the deep end trying to find her. So it might be safe to assume that she'd appear via flashback or hallucination, depending on Dolan's state of mind when the story picks up. Or she's a ghost. Maybe it's not safe to assume anything when it comes to this project.
The pilot will have Lucas' Dolan paired with Lynn Collins' Noa Blair, an agent with her own complicated past, who specializes in the occult. The duo will solve cases in the newly formed occult crimes task force. Also among the cast is Agnes Bruckner, who recently signed on to play a woman who's either involved with or looking to join some kind of cult, and may have risen from the dead post-autopsy. Bizarre.
Back to Morris, her credits include the role of Julia Walker in Brothers & Sisters, the part of Zoe in the short-lived series Windfall and another Zoe in Felicity. More recently, she recurred on NCIS as Special Agent Erica Jane "EG" Barrett.
