New Dexter Image Focuses On Guilt Theme For Season 5

Personally, I can’t get enough Dexter hype. If you’re of the same mind, you might want to check out this bloody great Dexter promotional image that was released to us today.

Key art may not give a lot away but it sure can send a message as to the mood of the season and that sure is the case with this photo:

Guilt can be a killer and so can Dexter! It’s no secret that the new season will pick up with the aftermath of Rita’s death. Dexter’s guilt will surely play a huge part in that. When we talked to exec-producer John Goldwyn at Comic Con, he talked more about that theme in the fifth season of Dexter (read about that here!). The baby bottle in the blood puddle’s a bit creepy and no doubt references the horrifying image of baby Harrison crying while his mother soaks dead in a tub and probably the added challenges Dexter will face now that he’s a single parent. As for Dexter’s face in the image, well, I can only imagine what’s going in his head but fortunately, we don’t have long to wait to find out!

Dexter premieres Sunday, September 26th at 9pm ET/PT only on Showtime.
