New Fox Series: The Cleveland Show - Midseason 2009

By Kelly West: 2008-05-17 15:11:26

New Fox Series: The Cleveland Show - Midseason 2009 Of the new series coming to Fox is the new Seth MacFarlane series, The Cleveland Show. Actually, that title is subject to change although given the fact that this Family Guy spinoff will follow the character Cleveland, it does seem fitting.

Here’s part of the description for the series, which is posted on Fox’s website.

“Many years ago, CLEVELAND BROWN (voiced by Mike Henry) was a high school student madly in love with a beautiful girl named DONNA. Much to his dismay, his love went unrequited, and Donna wound up marrying another man. Cleveland once told Donna he would always love her, and if this man ever done her wrong, he'd be there when she called.

Well, this man done her wrong.

Donna's husband skipped town with another woman, leaving Donna with a daughter and a baby. Now she's come to Cleveland and offered him another chance at love. Unattached after the Loretta-Quagmire debacle and true to his word, Cleveland joyously accepts and he and CLEVELAND JR. move to Stoolbend, VA, to join their new family.”

As someone who only casually watches The Family Guy, I’ll be honest and say that I’m not all that interested in this new spin-off. But I am curious to see if the series will follow the same seemingly ADD-inspired format of Family Guy, in which each episode has a storyline but also drifts off into random tangents throughout the episode, or if The Cleveland Show will have a different feel to the series.

The Cleveland Show is currently on Fox’s midseason 2009 schedule, airing on Sunday nights at 9:30 p.m, taking over the American Dad spot.

this is so stupid. this will like kill family guy because they will liek focus on this. they should not do this, thy did american dad and that was a very good show but doing this to a person on family guy, this is just ridiculous

  1. Witchta Jones Says:

Sounds great, Kelly West sounds like a "The Hills" fan. Cleveland Brown is the next Cliff Huxtable! Let that be known....

Nothing like good quality African American programming to premier. Ever since UPN took a nosedive, minority television programming could only be seen on cable networks. Looks like Fox is willing to repair the mistake of airing Method & Red Show.....set black people back 5 years along with College Hill, COPS, Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is, American Gangster, and most original BET shows

Lets see if BET can beat The Cleveland Brown Show....they can't......XD

The Cleveland Brown Show sounds great I like the title sounds ol timey a la Sonny & Cher Show etc

p.s: Kelly West is enjoys spending her time watching A Shot at Love: With Tila Tequila with her hand on the buzzer...........Robot Chicken reference look it up

I dont get it, I see the ladys daughter and infant sone, but is the fat kid supposed to be Cleveland Jr? I mean it looks nothing like him and he was an established character.
Also, will Cleveland be written off of Family Guy?
