I have watched Scooby Doo since I was very young, and I’m sure most of you have too. It is such a classic that it has aired pretty much continually since it began in (you aren’t going to believe this…) 1969. That would make next year the show’s 40th anniversary. Scooby Doo is so amazingly versatile that kids of every generation love it – including mine. It is one of the only shows that we watch together, because I just can’t stomach SpongeBob.
The show has spawned many spinoffs, including A Pup Named Scooby Doo, Scooby Doo, Get A Clue, the recent Freddie Prinze, Jr. movies, and now, yet another will be added to the series. MovieHole is reporting that the the new addition will be a movie, and that it will be a live-action version that precedes the original Scooby Doo, Where Are You?
“In this new pic, Daphne’s a mystery writer inspired by Murder She Wrote; Fred’s a football player with a penchant for jigsaw puzzles who decides to try out for the school paper, his idol is footballer turned supreme court justice Bryan ‘Whizzer’ White; Shaggy is as daft as ever and not doing so well at school; and Velma (who I hear might be Asian in the new film) is a teen U.S ambassador for World Hunger. Assumingly, they all apply for jobs at the school paper – for different reasons – and end up solving their first mystery…. Whatever that may be.
Haven’t you always wondered how Mystery, Inc. got together? I always assumed that Shaggy was probably Daphne’s weird cousin that she tried to fix up with her nerdy friend Velma for a double date with her hotty Fred. The question that has always plagued me is why does the gang not think it’s odd that Scooby Doo, Scooby Dum and even Scrappy Doo could talk. Could someone get me an answer for that one?

I'm glad they are doing another scooby doo..
But without the regular charaters...
It's not going to be as good.
Velma an Asian??!
Hey i have nothing against Asians but seriously...
C'mon from the regular character from an Asian.
Scooby doo is my favourite movies.. both of them..
But this might change that for my honest opinion.
It's not just Velma I am worried about either.. it's the other characters..
Are some of them going to be the same ?
Or are they all going to be different?
