New Stargate Universe Trailer

Sci Fi (soon to be Syfy) is set to premiere the latest Stargate spinoff, Stargate Universe (or SGU) this fall. The network released a new trailer for the series and we also have the Sci Fi upfront video, which features footage from SGU as well as some sneak peeks at some of the other shows and movies Syfy has coming up, including the Battlestar Galactica spinoff/prequel series Caprica.

SGU follows a band of soldiers, scientists and civilians, who must fend for themselves as they are forced through a Stargate when their hidden base comes under attack. The desperate survivors emerge aboard an ancient ship, which is locked on an unknown course and unable to return to Earth. Faced with meeting the most basic needs of food, water and air, the group must unlock the secrets of the ship's Stargate to survive. The danger, adventure and hope they find on board the Destiny will reveal the heroes and villains among them.

The cast includes Robert Carlyle (Trainspotting, 24: Redemption), Lou Diamond Phillips (La Bamba), Justin Louis, Brian J. Smith, Elyse Levesque, David Blue (Ugly Betty, Moonlight), Alaina Huffman (Smallville), Jamil Walker Smith, Ming-Na.
