The Newsroom's Kelen Coleman Joins Jay Mohr And Josh Cooke In TV Land Pilot

Kelen Coleman is on the rise! The actor, who's currently recurring on HBO's The Newsroom, has landed herself a major role in a comedy pilot for TV Land, playing the wife to Josh Cooke's character in Brothers-In-Laws.

The multi-camera comedy pilot is executive produced by Scott Stuber, Bill Martin and Mike Schiff and centers on Neil (Cooke) a guy who is often stuck having to hang out with Jay Mohr's character, the fiancé of Neil's wife's twin sister (Ellen Woglom). The fact that the two guys have nothing in common is likely to be the where we'll find the laughs. TVLine posted the news today that Kelen Coleman has been cast to lay Neil's wife.

At present, Coleman can be found on HBO's The Newsroom, playing the roommate to Alison Pill's character Maggie. Her part as Lisa was kicked up a notch this Sunday night, when it was revealed that Lisa went to high school with Casey Anthony, leading to her being interviewed on the show's fictional news channel. Prior to her recurring spot on The Newsroom, Coleman appeared a few times on The Office, starting with Jim and Pam's wedding, where her character Isabel had a one-night-stand with Dwight and partnered up with him for the memorable wedding dance, during which she was kicked in the face. Good times. So, while she's currently tackling drama on HBO, we know she has some experience with comedy, and that's likely to come in handy for this pilot.
