P!nk And Green Day To Perform At 2009 VMAs

With MTV’s VMAs set to air live this September, the network is quickly adding to the list of presenters and performers who will take the stage at Radio City in New York. Today the network announced that P!nk and Green Day are set to perform at the event.

P!nk appeared at last year’s Video Music Awards and from the sounds of it, is eager to top herself this time around. “Last year I got to jump out of a window at the VMAs in LA,” said P!nk. “This year I can't wait to blow the roof off Radio City in New York.”

Meanwhile, Green Day will perform a hot off their latest album “21st Century Breakdown.” Previously announced performers include Taylor Swift and Muse.

As for the presenters, Katy Perry, Ne-Yo and Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl) have all been confirmed to hand out awards. Russell Brand will return to host the event. Personally, I wasn’t in love with his hosting abilities at last year’s VMAs but I’m sure his fans are excited to see him return to the gig.
