Party Down Picked Up For A Second Season

Good news Party Down fans! Starz announced today that they’re picking up the half-hour comedy for a second season! The series, which was created by Veronica Mars mastermind Rob Thomas, along with John Enbom, Paul Rudd and Dan Etheridge, follows a group of Hollywood wannabes as they earn a living working at a party place, catering, bartending and making sure things run smoothly… which they rarely ever do.

“Making this show, with this amazing cast, and with the incredible freedom and support we get from Starz, has been a dream experience,” said John Enbom. “We couldn’t be more excited to get back to work on Season Two.”

The season finale, which airs later this month, features Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell!

The crew is excited to be working the extremely exclusive wedding of Hollywood super-mogul Barry Stannheiser and his 22-year old fiancé Marty Pong – the reception is sure to be packed with celebrities and bigwigs. But they’ve all disappointed to learn the Party Down team is working as a backup crew to the uber-efficient and wildly good-looking Valhalla Catering Team, led by Ron’s arch- rival, team leader Uda Bengt. With everything on the line, Ron collapses back into his former partying ways, leaving Henry to single-handedly keep the team afloat, determine his own future with Casey, and try to save Ron’s job.
