Poll: How Do You Think Conan Did?

Goofy and whimsical but perhaps a little less rowdy than some may have expected, Conan debuted on TBS tonight to the raucous delight of at least the studio audience. Featuring a snazzy new set that includes a view of the ocean and a radio-controlled moon, little expense was spared in laying the groundwork for the host’s new show, but it still remains to be seen whether he will emerge as a viable late night alternative to Letterman and Leno.

With TBS charging upwards of forty grand per ad, the time truly is now for Conan O’Brien to sink or swim. We won’t have the ratings for at least another day or so, but perhaps more importantly, it’s still unclear how the viewers themselves reacted. People no doubt turned out in droves tonight, but will they stick around? Will they eschew conventional network late night for the exiled alternative?

Cinema Blend sounded in with its optimistic review found here, but one random dude’s opinion hardly tells the story. We want to know what you think. Did you like the introductory short Last Season On Conan? Were you happy to see the masturbating bear? Was it disappointing the new show still kept the same late night format? Hell, did you even watch? That seems like the most important question. Let us know what you think by voting in the poll below, or leave a comment sounding off on how you think the big redhead did.
