Prime Suspect's Maria Bello Signs On For Fox's Touch

Those who’ve been missing Maria Bello on Thursday nights since NBC’s short-lived drama Prime Suspect went off the air will have her back soon enough. Of course, seeing her on television again will require changing the channel to Fox. Bello is set to join Fox’s new series Touch for a multi-episode arc, and maybe more...

According to Deadline, Bello is set to join Fox’s new drama series Touch for a multi-episode arc this season. What’s more, this comes with an option to return for the second season, should the series get renewed. Her character is described as an “earth-mother type” who has a daughter with a similar gift to the one Kiefer Sutherland’s character’s son Jack has. Could she be a possible love-interest for Sutherland? Deadline doesn’t mention anything about that, but they sure would make a nice looking couple.

Since playing Dr. Anna Del Amico on ER during the later part of the ’90’s, Bello seemed to be focusing most of her time to feature film work. And then last fall, she transitioned back to the small screen for the lead in NBC’s Prime Suspect. While the show didn’t hold up, Bello was pretty fantastic in it, so it’s great news to see she’s singing on for one of the more promising looking dramas on television.
