Family Album has it’s female lead as Rachael Harris has been cast to star opposite Mike O’Malley in the single-camera comedy pilot, directed by Shawn Levy.
According to Deadline, Harris, whom you may remember from Notes From The Underbelly and The Hangover is set to join Mike O’Malley in Family Album. The comedy pilot is written by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman and follows O’Malley’s character Dave as he attempts to become closer to his family. Dave is described as an overly enthusiastic former jock. Harris’ character is Dave’s wife and a stay-at-home mom.
I think Harris has great comedic timing and especially loved her tense performance as Melissa in The Hangover. Between her involvement and O’Malley’s, I’m thinking this one will be a keeper.
In other casting news:
Megan Dodds (seen in Detroit 1-8-7, Lie to Me) will star opposite Ethan Hawke in the Fox drama pilot Exit Strategy. The pilot follows Hawke’s character Eric Shaw as he leads a group of expert CIA operatives who are tasked to extract agents after a mission goes bad. Dodds has been cast to play the Dr. Hannah Burke, the team medic. Sounds exciting.
Orlando Jones (MADtv, Evolution) signed a deal to join ABC’s drama pilot Identity. He’ll be playing a member of an elite police unit in the procedural.
Angel Laketa Moore was cast to play the assistant manager in the sports bar where Chelsea Hanson (Laura Prepon) works in NBC’s multicamera comedy Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea. The series is inspired by Chelsea Handler’s book, which is about her life in her 20s.
