Revenge Has Big Plans For Two-Hour Season 2 Finale

Revenge has already featured plenty of drama drama in its sophomore season on ABC, but audiences ain’t seen nothing, yet. The soapy drama is setting up for a spectacular season finale on May 12 and will be giving fans a special two-hour episode to finish out the season.

If you don’t want to know anything about this season’s finale, you should stop reading now, as there are some sort-of spoilers, below.

Revenge has already killed off a remarkable number of characters this season, including the real Emily Thorne (Margarita Levieva). If you thought that death was a major blow to the story arc, as well as the characters, TV Line is reporting the series is set to kill off one of the show’s core characters during the finale. I’m not certain if Charlotte, Declan, Ashley, or Aiden count as core characters, but even if they don’t, that certainly means Conrad, Victoria, Nolan, Jack, or Daniel could be up for the chopping block. Series creator Mike Kelley says the event will be a big surprise for audiences, as well as series lead Emily Thorne/ Amanda Clarke (Emily VanCamp).

“It’ll be a surprise who it is – and it’s certainly a surprise to Emily.”

Revenge has been known for plenty of cliffhanger episodes during the show’s two season run on ABC, but this time around, fans will know what’s up before the two-hour finale episode is over.

“Our audience will not have to wait to find out the identity of the person that didn’t survive. We will let them know within the two hours.”

For most of the season, Emily has behaved in a manner that is only vaguely revenge-oriented and things have moved fairly slowly. However, after a midseason slump, Revenge has amped up the drama over the last several weeks and will hopefully spend some time actually getting up to some real revenge plotlines rather than just covering her tracks during the last few episodes of the season.

ABC’s Revenge airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET.
