During last Sunday’s episode of Family Guy, in which Stewie and Brian visited multiple universes, the baby and dog found themselves briefly visiting a Robot Chicken universe, Stewie made a remark to Chris (voiced by Seth Green), asking him, “How’s it feel to be on a major network for thirty seconds?” Fans of Robot Chicken surely chuckled at Chris/Green’s exclamation of “F--- you!” Well, the joke’s on you, Stewie because it looks as though Green and his fellow Robot Chicken creators could be getting more than thirty-seconds of primetime on a major network.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fox has ordered a presentation and a script for an animated project from Seth Green, Matthew Senreich and Tom Root, who are the masterminds behind the clever stop-motion animated series Robot Chicken, which airs on The Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim.

Of the project, the Reporter stated:

Green, Senreich and Root's project, which uses family life and a high school as backdrops for a wide cast of characters, "will have an aesthetic familiar to viewers of Fox's popular animated comedies," said Green, an original cast member on Fox's flagship animated comedy, Family Guy.

So while we won’t be seeing a full-length stop-motion animated series from these guys, Root did say the show will still have the “comedic sensibilities” of their other shows. So if you think Robot Chicken and Titun Maximum are funny, chances are this new show will also make you laugh. Now we just have to see whether or not the big-wigs at Fox deem it funny and clever enough to add to the lineup.
