Rumor: The Mother To Be Revealed On How I Met Your Mother

Call me skeptical, but the rumor that HIMYM creators are going to reveal the mom this season doesn’t sound like something that’ll happen. AT least not in the way some people think. I came across the rumor and couldn’t believe that it could be true so early on in the series. I do believe that the show doesn’t have to end the moment the mom is introduced, but since that’s the premise of the series they can’t do it now.

According to Ausiello How I Met Your Mother co-creator Carter Bays told him the central mystery is about to be solved. Kind of. Bays actually just says a few loose ends will be addressed in the final four episodes of the current season, no specific word about the mother. And even if she does show up in some form I doubt we’ll be introduced to her as such.

To me it simply sounds like Bays and the writers are redirecting the ship back to HIMYM’s main topic. Now that the show has become a success we’ve enjoyed mostly episodes dealing with the group of friends. So much that I feel the series has maybe lost its way on the story front. Each episode is still top notch, but I’ll welcome with open arms a few episodes that push Ted closer to the mother of his kids.

Or someone else’s…has it ever been confirmed that Ted is talking to his own children on the show?
