There’s been plenty of election coverage on TV these days and with Election Day tomorrow, Saturday Night Live, which has definitely amped up their political coverage this year is airing one final pre-election special tonight. SNL has previously aired special Thursday night “Weekend Update” episodes in addition to their usual Saturday night live broadcast and tonight a different kind of special is set to air. (Sorry Heroes and My Own Worst Enemy fans! )

The two-hour special, called Saturday Night Live Presidential Bash 2008 will air tonight (Monday, 11/3) at 9:00 PM and feature various previously aired political sketches, including Chevy Chase’s impersonation of Gerald Ford, Will Ferrell as George W. Bush, Amy Poehler’s portrayal of Hillary Clinton as well as some of the coverage we’ve seen this season and a few new bits.

SNL (and NBC) has been milking this election for all it’s worth this year so it’s no real surprise that the network is attempting to cash in on what’s left of our attention spans in terms of the election. All the same, I can’t deny that a lot of what they’ve given us this election season has been pretty great, and I’m sure tonight’s special will be no exception.
