Sandra Bernhard To Guest Star On The Neighbors
ABCís The Neighbors is adding a guest star to its wacky, alien-oriented cast. Stand-up comedienne Sandra Bernhard is set to join The Neighbors in a 2013 episode where she will play Ms. Porsche, a woman who, fittingly, is a driving instructor working in the neighborhood.
Other than the weird name and skill set as a driverís education teacher, currently, thereís little news on the type of character Bernhard will play, although TV Line is speculating her character might be a Zabvornian (really, though, that should be the kind of a speculation everyone should think about with every guest character signed on for this comedy). Weíll find out sometime this winter, when Ms. Porsche appears in just one episode during Season 1.
While probably still best known for her recurring roles in Roseanne and The L Word on television, comedienne Bernhard has appeared in numerous television roles over the years, most recently in episodes of Hot in Cleveland and GCB, another ABC show (now defunct). The Neighbors hasnít been known for a lengthy list of guest stars thus far, but Transformers director Michael Bay is set for a guest appearance sometime in early 2013, although, unlike Bernhard, he gets to play himself. Maybe those two names will be able to amp up the guest stars added to the show in the future, but regardless, The Neighbors has done alright in the ratings thus far.
ABCís The Neighbors returns to the schedule on Wednesday, January 9 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
