Sarah Chalke Signed For ABC Comedy Pilot
Fans of Scrubs will likely be pleased to learn that Sarah Chalke is set to star in an ABC comedy pilot. The pilot comes from How I Met Your Mother exec producer Greg Malins and Arianna Huffinton.
The Hollywood Reporter posted the news, stating that Chalke will play a “beautiful, smart and funny freshman Congresswoman who was a VIP at a multi-billion dollar company when she was just 28, and who won her district with the largest margin of any candidate since 1977.” The pilot, titled Freshman follows three freshman members of Congress who live together in D.C. The Reporter went on to say that while Chalke’s character is successful in her career, she’s something of a mess when it comes to men.
While Chalke is probably best known for her role in Scrubs, she also played the potential “mother” in How I Met Your Mother for a brief time. It should be interesting to see what she does with this new role if the pilot goes to series.
